SCULPTOR OF MYTH, SPIRIT, & THE HUMAN CONDITION

"I am a sculptor in love with the human form. I work in homage to those whom I admire. Driven by the fire, I continue alone in a world gone mad. Bearing the scars inflicted by the insensitive, I remain true unto myself and find peace." — Bud Egger
Bud Egger’s work is not merely sculpture—it is soul made visible. For over four decades, Bud has carved, cast, and created expressive forms in marble, bronze, and mixed media. His sculptures tell stories drawn from mythology, the spiritual realm, and the raw, radiant experience of being human.
He is known for his bold figures—muscles exaggerated, surfaces carved and textured, wings often unfurling—each piece revealing a world within. Many ask about these forms: why the wings? Why the scale? Why the intensity? The answer is simple.
"I sculpt for myself. It is my passion. Not all of you will understand—to those of you who do, I say: Enjoy."
Bud is a voracious reader, a lifelong learner, and a seeker of truth in all its forms. His work reflects the belief that art lives in the ephemeral—in the imagined, the spiritual, and the deeply felt. For Bud, the arts are a sacred space, undefined and undefinable, yet undeniably present.
With a career spanning from solo shows to public commissions, from gallery exhibitions to teaching and mentorship, Bud Egger has remained true to his path: expressive, narrative, and uncompromising.
"Each piece does reveal a story, and each story has an infinite degree of source."
